UTSA Air Force ROTC honors POWs, MIAs with flag ceremony and 24-hour run

(Nov. 2, 2005)--UTSA Air Force ROTC cadets will honor current members and veterans of the United States military with a flag retirement ceremony at 5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 at the flagpole next to the John Peace Library Building, 1604 Campus.

Following the ceremony, the cadets will proceed to the UTSA track to participate in a 24-hour running event to honor the sacrifices of prisoners of war (POWs) and soldiers missing-in-action (MIA).
The event will end at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4 with a last lap around the track as cadets carry a prisoner-of-war flag.
The events are free and open to the public.
