Diploma Dash City Championship Race is Feb. 11

(Feb. 8, 2006)--The 22nd annual Diploma Dash 5K Race and Fitness Walk for scholarships, sponsored by the UTSA Alumni Association, is Saturday, Feb. 11 on the UTSA 1604 Campus. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race start is 9 a.m. at the Convocation Center.
New San Antonio City Manager Sheryl Sculley, a marathon runner, will be a special guest at the race and will fire the starting gun.

An official UTSA 2006 Homecoming Week event, the race has the prestige of serving as San Antonio's City Championship Race with a USATF-certified course. USA Track and Field is the national governing body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States.
Early registration of $20 will be accepted through Feb. 8. Registration on race day is $30. Registration for UTSA students with UTSACard is $10 by Feb. 8 at the Office of Alumni Programs at the University Center, 1604 Campus.
