UTSA business college names associate dean

(Feb. 9, 2006)--Juan Gonzalez has been named College of Business associate dean for the Downtown Campus at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Gonzalez will handle all downtown administrative operations for the college.

Gonzalez has taught at UTSA since 1983 and is an associate professor of management science. He received his doctorate in production/operations management and a master's in international business from the University of South Carolina and his bachelor's in chemical engineering from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
"Through his experience in the college and at the Downtown Campus, Dr. Gonzalez will excel in this new role," said College of Business Dean Lynda de la Viña. "He will lead the college's administrative office and provide excellent support and service to our students located downtown."
The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. It is one of the 40 largest business schools in the nation with more than 6,000 enrolled students and 37 graduate and undergraduate business programs.
