Mr. and Ms. UTSA 2006 named at Homecoming game

(Feb. 14, 2006)--Robert Linder and Jennifer Villarreal were named Mr. and Ms. UTSA at the Homecoming men's basketball game Feb. 11.

As part of the UTSA Homecoming celebration, the UTSA Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Association sponsor the Mr. and Ms. UTSA contest, which honors students who embody the spirit of UTSA through academic achievements, campus involvement and community service.
Robert Linder is a junior marketing major sponsored by the UTSA Ambassadors. He is the Alumni Relations chairman for Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and a member of Sigma Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Society, University Center Fees Advisory Committee, the American Marketing Association and the Honors Alliance. He plans to attend graduate school and to start his own business.
Jennifer Villarreal is a senior biology major sponsored by Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. She is president of Order of Omega Greek Honor Society and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Rho Lambda Greek Honor Society. Additionally, she is vice president of the Student Organization Council. Her career goal is to become a pediatric dentist.
The winners each receive an official UTSA ring presented to them at the Official UTSA Ring Ceremony. Throughout the year, Mr. And Ms. UTSA represent the university and the Alumni Association at a variety of events in the UTSA and San Antonio communities, including Fiesta and Roadrunner Camp.
