Faculty members publishing in these journals were Rajan Kadapakkam, professor of finance; Ron Rutherford, Elmo J. Burke Jr. Endowed Chair in Building/Development; and Yiuman Tse, professor of finance.
The ranking is based on the research publications of UTSA faculty members from 2000 to 2005 in the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics and the Review of Financial Studies.
"I am extremely proud of the research accomplishments of our finance faculty members," said Lynda de la Viña, dean of the College of Business. "This supports our goal to raise the college's academic profile and become one of the nation's best business schools. The ranking is even more impressive due to the relative small nature of our department, with only eight full-time faculty members."
