Child center's April 3 breakfast celebrates 'Week of Young Child'
(March 31, 2006)--To commemorate "The Week of The Young Child," the UTSA Child Development Center staff invites parents of the children enrolled in the center to a breakfast from 8 to 9 a.m., Monday, April 3.
The events will celebrate building a better future for all. UTSA President Ricardo Romo will be on hand to read a proclamation declaring April 2-8, 2006, as "The Week of the Young Child" at UTSA.

This is the second year UTSA has joined in the celebration of the "Week of the Young Child." Activities are planned for the children throughout the week. In addition to the breakfast, parents and children enrolled in the center are invited to the Spring Fest from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 7. More than 200 people participated last year at the event.
"The Week of the Young Child" is sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), through which the center is applying for accreditation. NAEYC is the world's largest early childhood education association with more than 100,000 members in 300 locations.
The UTSA center is currently enrolling children from the waiting list for the summer and fall semesters. Interested parents can place their child on the waiting list on the Child Development Center Web site.
