UTSA Satellite Space hosts 'Unlocked' exhibit

(April 11, 2006)--The UTSA Department of Art and Art History hosts an annual exhibition of work by M.F.A. students through April 23 at the UTSA Satellite Space at the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, Suite 115, at South Alamo and Probandt streets.

Free and open to the public, gallery hours are noon-6 p.m., Friday-Sunday.

This year's show, "Unlocked," was curated by graduate student Lisa Endresen. The exhibit includes paintings, sculpture, textiles and drawings.

"This exhibit includes a single work of art from each graduate student earning a master of fine arts degree at UTSA," said Endresen. "The works illustrate the complex range of interests and mediums being explored by the students, and provide us an opportunity to see ideas, potential and talent being 'unlocked.'"
