Golf tournament June 9 benefits ELPS scholarships

(May 12, 2006)--The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) in the UTSA College of Education and Human Development will host the ELPS Scholarship Golf Tournament from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday June 9 at the Quarry Golf Club. The tournament is open to the public.

Registration and practice is 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. A luncheon and awards presentation is set for 12:30 p.m.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit the ELPS Scholarship Fund. Registration includes golf shirt, green fees, cart, lunch, range balls and opportunities to win door prizes in a six-hole putting contest.
The event is set up as a Florida scramble with teams of four players. Registration is $75 for UTSA students, $100 for one player, $250 for a hole sponsor and $700 for a corporate foursome.
