Price named interim vice president for student affairs

(July 7, 2006)--UTSA President Ricardo Romo announced today that Kevin Price will serve as interim vice president for student affairs effective Aug. 3. Price replaces Ysabel Trinidad, who recently was named vice chancellor for administration at the University of Washington, Tacoma.

"As we conduct a national search for an individual to lead the student affairs division at UTSA, I have confidence Kevin will ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding services and support to our students," said Romo. Price currently serves as assistant vice president for student life.
After earning both bachelor's and master's degrees from Auburn University, Price earned a law degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Price came to UTSA in 2005 with more than 20 years' experience in student affairs. At Louisiana State University, he served as dean of students for four years. Before his career at LSU, he served as both assistant and associate dean of students at the University of Texas at Austin for seven years.
