(Aug. 7, 2006)--The UTSA women's soccer program is set to begin a new era when the team reports for its first official practice at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9, at the UTSA Recreational Sports Complex. Practice is open to the public.
Head coach Steve Ballard will lead a squad of 34 student-athletes into their first season of soccer, beginning with an exhibition match against Big 12 Conference member Texas on Aug. 18 in Austin at 7 p.m.
Admission is free to all home matches, which will be played on the last of the new Recreational Sports Complex intramural fields behind the baseball field.
