Advertising expert Lionel Sosa to speak Oct. 24

(Oct. 23, 2006)--The UTSA Office of Student Activities hosts its first Distinguished Lecture Series speaker at 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Oct. 24 in the University Center Retama Auditorium (2.02.02) on the 1604 Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Advertising and marketing innovator Lionel Sosa will discuss his book "Think and Grow Rich a Latino Choice".

The Distinguished Lecture Series is part of the Student Leadership Program's Lead UTSA.
An independent marketing consultant, portrait artist and motivational speaker, Sosa also is CEO of the grassroots online think tank, Mexicans and Americans Thinking Together (MATT.org).
He is the founder of Sosa, Bromley, Aguilar & Associates, now Bromley Communications, the largest Hispanic advertising agency in the United States and an expert in Hispanic consumer and voter behavior, education and achievement.
Sosa was named "One of the 25 most influential Hispanics in America" by Time Magazine in July of 2005 and is a member of the Texas Business Hall of Fame. He is the author of "Think and Grow Rich, a Latino Choice" published in 2006 by Random House, and "The Americano Dream: How Latinos Can Achieve Success in Business and in Life", published in 1998 by Dutton.
Sosa is a member of the Board of Directors of American College Testing (ACT) and QuePasa.com, the largest bi-lingual online community in the United States.
