Alumni Association elects officers, board members

(Nov. 16, 2006)--At its October board meeting, the UTSA Alumni Association elected a new president, Yvonne Fernandez ('85), of Security Service Federal Credit Union.

She replaces Rick Keeler ('81), who resigned to accept a position as vice president for healthcare and research facilities with architecture and planning firm Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City. Danny Zimmermann ('01), Cleary Zimmermann Engineers, was elected vice president.
New board members also were elected. Judy Juarez Crockett (B.B.A., '98), Morgan Stanley; Gerardo Escamilla Jr. (B.S. engineering, '98), engineer with CPS Energy; and Dr. Ronald K. Garcia, (B.S. biology, '82), in private practice. They replace Lisette Murray, Cindy Jorgenson and Don Barnes. Escamilla serves a term through 2007 and Crockett and Garcia serve terms through 2009.
