UTSAPD hosts Thanksgiving food drive

By Stephanie Padula
UTSA Police Sergeant

(Nov. 13, 2006)--The UTSA Police Department is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive through Friday, Nov. 17 with proceeds going to the San Antonio Food Bank.

The drive is an opportunity during the holiday season to help those who are less fortunate and give them a chance to enjoy a special meal.

Nonperishable food donations in non-glass containers can be dropped off at many stations on the UTSA campuses.

The food bank needs these items the most:

  • peanut butter
  • chili
  • cereal
  • canned stews
  • tuna
  • canned luncheon meats
  • beans
  • full meals in a can or box
  • rice
  • pop-top food items
  • macaroni and cheese

For more information, contact Stephanie Padula at (210) 458-4775.
