Office of Legal Affairs adds staff members

(Nov. 15, 2006)--The UTSA Office of Legal Affairs has three new staff members.
Gail Jensen, an attorney, has just come on board as associate counsel, in addition to new legal assistant, Aaron Fuller, who replaces Pam Simon. Additionally, Beth Moroney, comes to the department as an administrative assistant.

"Because so many members of the UTSA community interact with our office, I wanted to introduce our new employees," said Liz Mitchell, UTSA chief legal officer and manager of the Office of Legal Affairs. "The addition of an attorney to our staff is a milestone in the growth of the department."
Gail Jensen, associate counsel, joined legal affairs and UTSA on Oct. 2. She brings more than 12 years of experience in litigation. She was a senior associate and employment and labor litigation attorney with Alaniz & Schraeder L.L.P. in Houston. Previously, she was assistant city attorney in the San Antonio Office of the City Attorney, representing the city in legal disputes in the areas of employment, contracts, torts, civil rights and constitutional law. Jensen taught numerous legal courses in the UTSA Paralegal Studies Program. At the University of Texas at Austin, she earned a law degree and an M.S. degree in counseling psychology.
Aaron Fuller, legal assistant, joined the Office of Legal Affairs and UTSA on Aug. 14. As a certified paralegal, she completed a bachelor's degree in criminal justice at UTSA. She worked as a paralegal in some of the most well known law firms in San Antonio and also worked as a paralegal for the Bexar County Office of the District Attorney. A former president of the Alamo Area Paralegal Association, Fuller is an active member of the organization. She also is a voting member of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division.
Beth Moroney, administrative assistant, joined the Office of Legal Affairs on Aug. 1. She brings more than 13 years of experience in administrative settings including work at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Moroney will complete studies in the UTSA Paralegal Studies Program in December. She also is a member of the Alamo Area Paralegal Association.
