A Thanksgiving Message from President Ricardo Romo
November 22, 2006
Dear UTSA Friends,
As we celebrate this year's Thanksgiving holiday, I'm reminded of something said by philosopher Eric Hoffer: "The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings."
Thanksgiving is an opportunity to realize that, at UTSA, we have much for which to be thankful. This holiday is shared by all Americans, and allows us to focus on our blessings and the freedoms we enjoy.

At the UTSA campuses, charitable projects are underway during this season to help those in our community who may not be as fortunate as we. Thanks to everyone for volunteering or contributing in some manner.
Harriett and I wish each of you a peaceful and joyous Thanksgiving celebration. Please enjoy the company of loved ones, be extra careful if you're traveling, and take time to reflect on the many things for which we can be thankful.
Best wishes,
Ricardo Romo
President, The University of Texas at San Antonio
