UTSA hosts financial aid fair with vocal contest

(Jan. 29, 2007)--The UTSA Office of Financial Aid will host a financial aid fair with a Mardi Gras theme, "Money Gras," from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the University Center, 1604 Campus, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Frio Street Building commons, Downtown Campus.
Free and open to the UTSA community, both fairs will offer free food catered by Bill Miller BBQ, games and prizes. Financial aid representatives and several lenders will be on hand to answer financial aid questions and distribute information and brochures.

Additionally, the 1604 Campus event will include a "Financial Aid Idol" contest at noon, Feb. 7. Students can demonstrate their vocal talent with a chance to win a scholarship.
To participate in the contest, students must register by Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the Financial Aid and Enrollment Services Counseling Center, Multidisciplinary Studies Building Room 2.03.02, 1604 Campus.
