UTSA hosts 'Go Wild Over Health' fair April 10

(April 6, 2007)--UTSA Student Health Services will host a health fair with the theme, "Go Wild Over Health," from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 10 on the main floor of the Humanities and Social Sciences Building at the UTSA 1604 Campus. The event is free and open to the UTSA community.

The fun, educational event with a jungle theme will feature information on UTSA and San Antonio health organizations and services. Health professionals will distribute brochures and other free items, and there will be drawings for prizes.
The fair will include glucose and cholesterol screenings (12-hour fasting preferred), blood pressure screenings, spinal screenings, vision tests, skin care tips and massages.
Information will be available on topics such as alcoholism, drug addiction, diabetes, credit counseling, banking, heart health, cancer, social diversity, breast health, oral hygiene, prevention methods, STDs, safer sex and smoking cessation.
