(April 18, 2007)--The UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts will host the seventh annual COLFA Research Conference from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, April 20 in the University Center Retama Auditorium (2.02.02) and adjacent rooms at the 1604 Campus.

The event is open to COLFA graduate and undergraduate students. An awards ceremony is 3-4 p.m. in the Arts Building Recital Hall (2.03.02), 1604 Campus.
The conference offers students the opportunity to present their research in a nonjudgmental setting where they can gain experience, strengthen their confidence and win cash awards. Last year, 150 students participated.
Because the transition from student to professional can be difficult, the conference provides a midpoint between the classroom and the professional world to help with this transition.
