Submit entries now for homecoming poster contest

(Oct. 19, 2007)--The UTSA Homecoming Committee seeks entries now from UTSA students for the Homecoming 2008 Commemorative Poster Contest. Poster design submissions are due Friday, Nov. 16 in the Office of Student Activities, University Center Room 1.02.08 on the 1604 Campus.

Entry forms with contest guidelines are available in the student activities office. The grand prizewinner will receive $250 and a trophy. The second-place winner will receive $50 and a trophy and the third-place winner will receive $25 and a trophy.
Posters must use the UTSA Homecoming 2008 theme, "Tradition - Spirit - Pride." The grand prize entry will be used on all homecoming publicity and promotions including posters, Web sites and calendars. Only individuals can enter the competition; collaborative efforts will not be accepted.
A panel of students, faculty, staff and alumni will judge entries. The winners will be announced Tuesday, Jan. 22.

UTSA Homecoming 2008 is Feb. 27-29 and March 1. The homecoming game is Saturday, March 1 against the Corpus Christi A&M Islanders.
