
UTSA opens holiday season with '007' cabaret

(Nov. 27, 2007)--The UTSA Department of Music will present the annual UTSA Holiday Cabaret beginning Thursday, Nov. 29 with the president's opening night reception and continuing through Saturday, Dec. 1 in the 1604 Campus Gilbert M. Denman Room (formerly the Laurel Room) in the University Center, 1604 Campus.
Proceeds from the event benefit UTSA music scholarships.

This year's holiday variety show will feature James Bond and the UTSA Madrigal Singers as they uncover a villainous plot in Rio de Janeiro complete with fun, suspense and lively Brazilian music.
The President's Opening Night Performance dinner will be Thursday, Nov. 29 with a reception with a seated dinner following. The evening also will include a ceremony dedicating the newly named Gilbert M. Denman Room. Catering will be provided by Spice of Life Catering.
Additional performances are 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1 and will include catered buffet trays. Catering for these performances will be provided by Louie's Hacienda Mexican Restaurant.
