ITC seeks 60s technology for HemisFair '68 exhibit

By James Benavides
Public Affairs Specialist

(Nov. 13, 2007)--UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures is preparing to celebrate the 40th anniversary of HemisFair '68 with an exhibit of pictures, video and memorabilia from the celebration that introduced San Antonio to the world spotlight.

ITC staff members were successful in a recent quest for official HemisFair '68 uniforms that will be featured in the April-December 2008 exhibit at the museum.

But, according to Shirley Mock, ITC social sciences and humanities resident associate, now they need to find samples of 1968 state-of-the-art technology, such as a console TV and other technology displayed at the fair.

For more information about loaning or donating items for the exhibit, contact Shirley Mock at (210) 458-2337.
