UTSA conducts third annual research symposium

(Nov. 5, 2007)--The UTSA College of Education and Human Development's Academy for Teacher Excellence and the Office of the Vice President for Research will host the third annual research symposium, "UTSA Community of Researchers: Diversity and Research for Academic Success," from 2 to 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8 in the Business Building University Room (2.06.04) on the 1604 Campus.

As part of UTSA Diversity Month activities, the sessions will highlight research and published works by UTSA faculty and graduate students on diversity and research for academic success.
Some speakers at the symposium are part of the 42 research award recipients from the UTSA Academy for Teacher Excellence (ATE). Grantees have conducted quantitative or qualitative research that informs administrators, teachers and university faculty, and community members with best practices that close the educational gaps and set educational standards among diverse student groups.
