Volunteers needed for 21st annual ITC Asian Festival held on Feb. 9

(Jan. 16, 2008)--UTSA's Institute of Texan Cultures is recruiting volunteers to work at the 21st annual Asian Festival, Feb. 9, on the museum grounds. The Year of the Rat celebration will host more than 40 organizations representing countries and cultural groups from across Asia.

Volunteers are needed to staff booths, give directions, provide guest services and fill other roles at the festival. Volunteers are asked to work a four-hour shift to receive complimentary admission to the festival.

A mandatory orientation session is 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30 at the ITC auditorium, (801 S. Bowie St. at Durango). Credentials, including wristbands, parking permits and rules and regulations will be issued.

The 21st annual Asian Festival is 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9. Admission is $8; $4 for children, seniors and military with ID.
