Students Committed to Change hosts March 8 event
(March 7, 2008)--The organization, Students Committed to Change, will host the "Ladies First! Women's Symposium" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 8 in Main Building Room 0.104 on the UTSA 1604 Campus. The event is free and open to the public with door prizes, other giveaways and a continental breakfast.

The symposium will include seminars, town hall forums, and panel discussions. The event is to inform college-age attendees on important issues. Topics will include: We Got to Do Better, College Women; Sex and the Power of Self Respect; and Protecting Our Girls, Empowering Our Daughters.
"It is our hope that the symposium will arm attendees with tools to take on different aspects of their daily lives including their career, education and personal relationships," said Margaret Richardson, chair of Students Committed to Change. "With a stronger sense of self and a better understanding of the world around her, each attendee will be strengthened and enlightened."
