UTSA to face Texas A&M in NCAA first-round action

(March 18, 2008)--The UTSA women's basketball team learned its NCAA Tournament draw last evening and the No. 15 Roadrunners (23-9) will face second-seed Texas A&M (26-7) in the NCAA First Round on Saturday, March 22, in Baton Rouge, La. The game will be televised at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.

The winner will face either No. 7 Syracuse or No. 10 Hartford on Monday, March 24. The four teams are in the Oklahoma City Regional with Tennessee as the top seed.
The Roadrunners won the Southland Conference Tournament on Saturday in Katy with a 65-56 victory against Lamar in the championship game. UTSA is making the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Aggies won the Big 12 Tournament championship game, 64-59, against Oklahoma State on Saturday to earn their third consecutive NCAA Tournament bid.
