UTSA hosts annual 'Fiesta Under the Stars' concert

(April 22, 2008)--The UTSA Department of Music will host "Fiesta Under the Stars: An Evening of Dance Music" at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 25 at Sombrilla Plaza on the 1604 Campus. The 23rd annual fundraiser benefiting music scholarships is an official Fiesta San Antonio event.

The 2008 concert lineup includes Latin Tango, 40s Swing and Flamenco, among other selections. Performance pieces will include "On the Town" by Leonard Bernstein, "Love Unspoken" from "The Merry Widow" and "Can't Stop the Beat" from "Hairspray."
Admission is $30 with catered dinner and reserved seating, $8 for general admission, $5 for students, military and seniors with ID, and free for children under age 5. General admission patrons can purchase tickets at the door and are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and ice chests.
