
COLFA hosts student research conference April 11

(April 8, 2008)--The UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts will host the eighth annual Spring Research Conference from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Friday, April 11 in the University Center meeting rooms adjacent to Retama Auditorium at the 1604 Campus. The first session will be from 10 a.m. to noon and a second session will be from 12:45 to 2:45 p.m.

The conference will spotlight the work of graduate and undergraduate students pursing degrees in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts in the categories of anthropology, art and art history, communication, classics and philosophy, English, history, modern languages and literatures, music, political science and geography, psychology and sociology. Students will present research papers, posters, multimedia projects, artwork, creative writing, oral histories and musical performances.
An awards ceremony will be from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. April 11 in the Arts Building Recital Hall on the 1604 Campus. Cash awards will be presented for first, second and third places in each category.
