
UTSA hosts May 31 Youth Leadership Conference

(April 28, 2008)--The UTSA Office of P-20 Initiatives will give area ninth and 10th graders the opportunity to learn about themselves and their styles of leadership at the 2008 Youth Leadership Conference, 7:30 a.m.-3:45 p.m., Saturday, May 31 at the UTSA Downtown Campus.

Students who want to advance to leadership positions in student government, youth groups or clubs are encouraged to attend. Workshops include True Colors, Defining Your Leadership Style, Conflict Resolution, Diversity, The Importance of Service Learning, Etiquette and Dressing for Success, and Planning Your Future.
The sessions will be led by UTSA administrators and advisers who regularly work with student government, student activities and career services.
Registration for the Youth Leadership Conference is $10 and includes lunch, conference materials and a t-shirt.
