Established in 1986, SAAHJ is comprised of local journalists, public relations professionals and students interested in communications or the public relations industry.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for aspiring students with hopes and dreams of becoming a journalist or working in the communications field," said Elaine Rodriguez, SAAHJ president. "It's also an opportunity for SAAHJ members in the radio, television and print media to pass along their appreciation and help develop future journalists."
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the annual SAAHJ Gala July 31 at the Westin Riverwalk San Antonio hotel.
For more information on the SAAHJ Gala or a scholarship application, contact Elaine Rodriguez at (210) 569-9815 or Mary Anthony at (210) 508-0621.
