UTSA hosts Academic Advising Conference Sept. 26

(June 23, 2008)--UTSA will host the second annual Academic Advising Conference from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 26 in the University Center at the 1604 Campus. The conference is open to academic advisers from all Texas universities and community colleges, and faculty and staff members who participate in the advising process.

The conference will consist of a variety of workshops on topics related to the role advisers play in the lives of students. The conference committee is accepting proposals for workshops with this year’s theme, "Advising: Changes on the Horizon." To submit a proposal to be a workshop presenter, contact Diana Howard at (210) 458-4106.
Early registration is $60 per person through Sept. 10. Late registration is $70 and runs Sept. 11-26. Registration includes breakfast, lunch and a snack. For planning purposes, guests are encouraged to register early.
