Knowledge forum: Unlock your inner entrepreneur

(June 4, 2008)--Cory Hallam, director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (CITE) in UTSA's College of Business and College of Engineering, will speak on "Unlocking Your Inner Entrepreneur" at the UTSA College of Business Knowledge Forum Breakfast on Tuesday, June 17. With Citi as the presenting sponsor, the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a networking breakfast and the program from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Business Building University Room (2.06.04) at the UTSA 1604 Campus.

Hallam will discuss the process for becoming an entrepreneur and his research on accelerating the process of creating technology entrepreneurs in a university setting.

Hallam holds a doctorate in technology management and policy, a master's in technology and policy and a master's in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has worked in the telecommunications and aerospace industries as an engineer, program manager and in lean enterprise transformation.

CITE creates a pipeline for UTSA faculty, students and the surrounding business community to develop new technology ventures. The center works to unlock the entrepreneurial spirit through education and experiential activities including entrepreneurship boot camps for the community and new technology start-up competitions.
