(Aug. 20, 2008)--As part of Roadrunner Days, The UTSA Inclusion and Community Engagement Center will host the third annual Cultural Connections receptions to welcome new and transfer students who are part of the diverse population of UTSA. Open to all UTSA students, faculty and staff, the Aug. 25-26 receptions will be in the University Center Denman Room (2.01.28) on the 1604 Campus. See the reception schedule below.

Receptions are scheduled for students who self-identify as members of particular groups. These include students who are African-American and black, Hispanic, GLBTQ (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning) and Asian Pacific islanders.

Each reception will include a short program with a welcome, short activity, comments from a faculty or staff member, and a student presentation. Snacks and beverages will be provided, along with displays by student organizations and information on UTSA resources.

For planning purposes, participants are encouraged to visit the Roadrunner Days Web site and complete the registration form.
