UTSA info fairs: Learn about volunteering opportunities

(Sept. 9, 2008)--The UTSA Inclusion and Community Engagement Center will host Volunteer Opportunities Fairs at the 1604 and Downtown campuses this month. The free fairs are open to UTSA students, faculty, staff and friends.

The volunteer fairs bring together community agencies in need of volunteers, service-based student organizations and the UTSA community to promote civic involvement and issue awareness at UTSA and in San Antonio.
There will be giveaways and prizes for participants and opportunities to speak with representatives of participating agencies including Big Brothers Big Sisters, KLRN TV, Goodwill Industries and Ronald McDonald House, among many others.
Volunteer Opportunities Fairs will be at these times:
10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 11
Frio Street Building commons
10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 17
University Center first floor
