UTSA Campus Rec hosts 'dive-in' movie, 5K run

(Oct. 28, 2008)--UTSA Campus Recreation will be part of UTSA Family Weekend from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, hosting a Dive-in-Movie featuring "Beetlejuice" at 8 p.m. on Halloween, Oct. 31. Dive into the Campus Rec pool and enjoy a free film -- open to anyone age 13 and older. The second annual Rowdy Rec 5K Run follows at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 1. Both events are open to Rec Card members and UTSA Family Weekend participants.

Onsite registration for the Rowdy Rec 5K Run is 7:15-8:45 a.m. on the event day. Participants can register through Oct. 31 at the Campus Recreation Web site (select "Intramurals" at top of page). The first 150 race participants will receive a free t-shirt. The run is free for students and Rec Card members; for others, the registration fee is $5.
There will be a Halloween costume contest the day of the run, so dress up your family and join us for the festivities.
