(Oct. 20, 2008)--UTSA students eager to participate in this historic presidential election were among the first to early-vote in the San Antonio area. Members of UTSA's Omega Psi Phi fraternity organized "Walk for Change" -- a stroll across the 1604 Campus from the Roadrunner Café to the early-voting site in the Main Building.

The purpose of the walk was to increase awareness among minority students about early voting. Nearly 100 student voters turned out for the event and crowded the early-voting site on campus.
UTSA is one of the early-voting sites for registered voters in Bexar County. Early voting for the 2008 presidential election runs Oct. 20-31 at the Main Building ground floor lobby on the 1604 Campus.
