
UTSA Athletics hosts Roadrunner Ruckus Oct. 17

(Oct. 15, 2008)--UTSA Athletics will celebrate the start of the 2008-09 basketball season with Roadrunner Ruckus on Friday, October 17, at the Convocation Center on the 1604 Campus.
The festivities begin with a tailgate party at 6 p.m. in front of the Convocation Center. Free food and drinks will be given out while supplies last.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and free shirts will be given to UTSA students with a valid UTSACard. On the way in, fans also can pick up glow-in-the-dark necklaces and glow sticks, as well as thunder sticks.
Roadrunner Ruckus will showcase the men's and women's basketball teams and give fans a chance to see their favorite players in a new light. The teams will compete in a 3-point contest and in a slam-dunk competition, where the crowd gets to be the judge.
There also will be special performances by the UTSA Cheerleaders and Chaparelle Danceline, as well as high-flying fun from an acro-dunk team.
Friday, Oct. 17 will be a night no one wants to miss!
