(Dec. 9, 2008)--An estimated crowd of 400 attended the "Holiday Cabaret Dinner" over the weekend in the University Center ballroom. The event celebrated the Christmas season in style and help raise money to benefit the UTSA Department of Music Scholarship Funds.

The money raised helps the UTSA Department of Music compete in attracting the state's top music students.

This year's show, "Have Yourself a Jazzy Little Christmas: A New Orleans Holiday Dinner," featured the UTSA Cabaret Singers performing with the Ron Wilkins Dixieland Jazz Band.

Before the performance, the UTSA Cabaret Singers visited the KABB-TV "Fox First News First" studio where they recorded songs to be featured in a four-hour KABB-TV Christmas Day special showcasing area musical performers.
