UTSA graduate student orientation is Jan. 7

(Jan. 5, 2009)--The UTSA Graduate School will host a graduate student orientation session from 5:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 7 in the Buena Vista Street Building on the Downtown Campus. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. The session is for graduate students entering UTSA in the spring 2009 semester.

Students will receive an overview of how the Graduate School and a wide collaboration of student-support offices assist degree candidates. To assist graduate students, the Tomás Rivera Center for Student Success will offer "Gear Up for Graduate School" workshops in collaboration with Library Services to prepare graduate students for the expectations of their programs.
The Tomás Rivera Center will offer a panel discussion featuring graduate students, faculty, staff and financial aid officers. An information fair will include representatives from Financial Aid and Enrollment Services, Parking and Transportation Services, The Writing Center, Student Activities and Student Health Services.
