(Feb. 26, 2009)--Homecoming 2009 is officially underway! The kickoff event is 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26 at Sombrilla Plaza with the ever popular "Where's Rowdy?" -- a search around campus for the UTSA mascot. On Friday, Feb. 27, make plans to attend the Golf Cart Parade and Rowdy Rampage at the UTSA track on the 1604 Campus.

This is the fifth year for the Fireworks Spectacular; the night event combines a spirit rally, a concert with music by The Orion Experience, a fireworks show and the Homecoming Golf Cart Parade.
The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. with the golf cart parade at 7:15 p.m., the spirit rally at 8:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 8:45 pm. The Orion Experience will come back onstage and entertain after the fireworks.
In support of Homecoming, ARAMARK will offer special rates at two UTSA dining venues after 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27. Purchase a two-entrée plate at Panda Express or any dinner plate at Taco Cabana in the University Center food court on the 1604 Campus and get a free 20-ounce fountain drink.
