Accounting department hosts scholarship golf

(March 19, 2009)--The UTSA Department of Accounting will host the 17th annual Kathleen Reymann Keil Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament on Friday, April 17 at the Quarry Golf Club, 444 E. Basse Road.

In addition to an afternoon of golf, participants can earn three hours of continuing professional education (CPE) credits by participating in a pre-tournament CPE seminar from 9 a.m. from noon at The Quarry.

The tournament begins at noon with registration, practice time and lunch. The shotgun start begins at 1:30 p.m. in a scramble format. Following the tournament, an awards dinner will be at 6 p.m.

Organize your own foursome or let the department place you on a team. This year, teams also have the opportunity to sponsor a UTSA student on their team, encouraging more networking between students and practitioners.

Sponsorships are available for teams of eight or four players. Individual tickets are $250; hole sponsorships are $100.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Kathleen Reymann Keil Memorial Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship was established in honor of UTSA accounting alumna Kathleen Reymann Keil '85, who died in 1992 after a long battle with cancer.
