"Luminaria: Arts Night in San Antonio" runs day to night, Saturday, March 14. The event is an ambitious undertaking involving more 1,000 artists and more than 40 nonprofit organizations from the major arts disciplines of dance, theater, poetry readings, music, painting, sculpture, film and multi-arts projects. Around the city, studios, museums, galleries and artist spaces will have exhibits, art activities and creative performances.

The event provides visitors and residents with a unique opportunity to revel in the city's wealth of traditional and innovative cultural expression presented on stages, in theaters and galleries, and on the streets of downtown San Antonio. "Luminaria" will provide a comprehensive showcase of talent and creativity on a larger scale than in any other U.S. city.
