UTSA Bookstores host open houses to preview fall books

By John Palmer
Director, UTSA Bookstores

(Aug. 3, 2009)--The UTSA Bookstores management will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5 at both the Downtown Campus and Main Campus bookstores. UTSA faculty and administrative staff are invited to enjoy light refreshments, meet bookstore staff and look over the course materials available for fall classes.

The idea for an open house evolved from feedback received during meetings with college faculty and administrators during the spring semester. The UTSA Bookstores have been working closely with college administrative services officers and administrative assistants as they gathered textbook information for the fall semester. Textbooks have been ordered to arrive early.

The open houses will provide faculty and staff the opportunity to check the bookshelves to ensure the correct textbooks are in place. Bookstore staff will be available to answer questions and assist with any concerns. The preview will allow time to make any needed adjustments before classes start Aug. 26.

The UTSA Bookstores are committed to student success and grateful for the support received from faculty and staff in preparation for fall semester.
