UTSA College of Business hosts national statistics conference March 17-20
(March 15, 2010)--The Department of Management Science and Statistics in the UTSA College of Business will host a national statistics conference March 17-20 at the UTSA Downtown Campus. The conference, "Frontiers of Statistical Decision Making and Bayesian Analysis," is being conducted in honor of statistician James Berger.
Keying Ye, UTSA professor of statistics, serves on the executive committee for the conference and Juan Gonzalez, UTSA associate professor of management science, is a member of the local host committee.
"We are bringing in premier researchers in the development and applications of statistical methodologies," said Ye. "Conference presenters consist of pioneer researchers in statistics from all over the world including four elected members of the National Academy of Science. We are proud that UTSA faculty and students will be presenting their research at this conference."
