UTSA students now can access many computer apps on and off campus
(Nov. 11, 2010)--The UTSA Office of Information Technology has opened the new myUTSA Apps website, where students can log in (using their "abc123" ID and password) and have free access to many software applications such as Microsoft Office, SAS and Endnote in addition to many others.
What's new with myUTSA Apps this semester?
Beginning this semester, students can access some of the software applications from off campus.
Why can't I have access to all of the software applications from off campus?
The software titles available to students are subject to licensing agreements. Some companies will not allow usage of their software from off-campus locations. All of the software applications are available in the UTSA student computing labs.
Will the software be installed on my PC?
No, the software is installed on UTSA servers. To access myUTSA applications from your laptop or personal computer, you must install a small program called a plug-in.
