UTSA, Health Science Center begin grant program supporting research
(Dec. 22, 2011) -- Next semester, The University of Texas San Antonio and the UT Health Science Center San Antonio will offer up to two $50,000 grants through a new funding Pilot Project program to support collaborative clinical and translational health research projects.
The primary goal of the partnership is to support early-stage collaborative translational and clinical studies that will lead to interdisciplinary, institutional and community-based research programs likely to compete successfully for national grant support and ultimately to improve human health.
Researchers applying for a FY 2012-2013 Pilot Project award must email a letter of intent by 5 p.m., Jan. 17, 2012, in PDF format directly to Cindy Russel. Download the guidelines and applications at the Health Science Center website.
To meet the Health Science Center deadline for full applications (5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21), UTSA applicants must submit completed proposals in PDF format to the Office of Grants, Contracts and Industrial Agreements (OGCIA) via Cayuse by 5 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14. OGCIA then will electronically submit proposals to the Health Science Center.
