UTSA hosts Election Night 2012 viewing event at University Center ballroom
(Nov. 5, 2012) -- The UTSA Student Government Association, Department of Political Science and Geography, and Black Student Union will host an Election Night 2012 watch party for the 2012 Presidential Election from 7 to 11 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6 in the University Center Ballroom (1.104) on the Main Campus. Free pizza and soda will be provided while they last.
To date, through its SA Votes awareness campaign, COPP, SGA, Office of External Affairs, Southwest Voter Registration Education Project and San Antonio League of Women Voters have partnered to register 3,006 voters in the local community.
The campaign supports San Antonio's SA2020 plan, which aims to transform San Antonio into a world-class city with a small-town feel by the year 2020. UTSA is the lead partner for SA2020's government accountability and civic engagement focus area.
