Register now: UTSA Student Health Services announces WellnessPro program
(Feb. 3, 2014) -- UTSA Student Health Services announces a new solution to address students’ health concerns in a semester-long, comprehensive program called WellnessPro. The program is every Thursday at 6 p.m. through April 24 at the Campus Recreation Center on the Main Campus. Registration closes Thursday, Feb. 6, so sign up now.
For students who have risk factors for obesity, diabetes or heart disease, and also for those who want to learn about how to adopt a healthier, active lifestyle, the collaborative program will include:
- Group exercise meetings
- Individual consultations with a health educator
- Group sessions to address causes of unhealthy habits
- Nutrition classes
- Kitchen and cooking demos
All participants must complete a brief medical evaluation to determine if additional physician clearances may be necessary for program participation.
