UTSA Main Campus is an early voting site Oct. 20-31
(Oct. 20, 2014) -- The UTSA Main Campus is a designated early voting site for the Nov. 4 joint general election. Any registered Bexar County voter can vote between Oct. 20 and Oct. 31 at the H-E-B University Center Bexar Room (1.102).
Over the years, UTSA Student Government Association (SGA) leaders consistently have sought a UTSA voting site because of student requests. UTSA students say that an on-campus early voting site encourages students to do their civic duty by voting and getting involved in the political process.
UTSA officials also encourage faculty, staff and others in the surrounding area -- such as those employed at Valero, NuStar and other businesses -- to take advantage of the convenient early voting location.
On Election Day, Nov. 4, voters must vote at their designated precinct locations.
Early voting times are:
- Monday, Oct. 20-Friday, Oct. 24: 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 25: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
- Sunday, Oct. 26: Noon-6 p.m.
- Monday, Oct. 27-Friday, Oct. 31: 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
The passage of Senate Bill 14 requires all voters to present an approved form of photo identification in order to vote in any Texas election. Acceptable forms of photo ID include:
- Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
- Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
- Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
- Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
- United States military identification card containing the person's photograph
- United States citizenship certificate containing the person's photograph
