UTSA Police Department presents fifth annual National Night Out on Oct. 7
(Oct. 1, 2014) -- The UTSA Police Department will sponsor the fifth annual National Night Out from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7 at the University Center Paseo on the Main Campus. As part of Homecoming Week, the event is an opportunity to stand together to decrease crime and increase safety awareness in the UTSA community.
UTSA community members are invited to enjoy free food, games, door prizes and live music by local band Hearts Fail. In support of this year's Homecoming theme "Turn the Page," police department staff will be on hand to collect new and gently used books to donate to the S.A. Reads book bank.
As America's night out against crime and for alcohol awareness for UTSA students, faculty, staff and neighbors, the UTSA Police Department has the goal to receive a repeat performance of the first place award in the college-university category in the National Night Out local event competition judged by the San Antonio Police Department.
