(March 27, 2015) -- The Collegiate Entrepreneurship Organization will host its second Elevator Pitch Competition from 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, March 27 in the Business Building Room 2.01.06 on the UTSA Main Campus.

The term "elevator pitch" captures the ability of an entrepreneur to have his or her business concept down so tightly and effectively that he or she could walk into a hypothetical elevator and deliver it to a potential investor within the time span of an elevator ride.

UTSA contestants will have 90 seconds to pitch their groundbreaking ideas and win $1,000. Cash prizes for second and third place also are up for grabs, as well as a chance to network with business professionals who will be in attendance. A panel of guest judges will decide on the top three cash prize winners and the audience members will decide upon the audience favorite.

The UTSA Elevator Pitch Competition is sponsored by the Center for Innovation and Technology Entrepreneurship (CITE), Geekdom and the 80/20 Foundation.
